TYPES OF TENNIS BALLS FOR JUNIORS
Stage 3 (red): Slower bouncing foam or red felt balls for children 6 and under on 36-foot courts. Balls bounce at about 25% the height of regular tennis balls.
Stage 2 (orange): Slightly larger than a regular tennis ball and designed for use on a 60-foot court. Ideal for children ages 7-9, balls bounce at about 50% the height of regular  tennis balls.
Stage 1 (green): Same size as regular tennis balls and intended for children ages 9+ as well as adult beginners. Balls bounce at about 75% the height of  regular tennis balls.
